Yes. There is no paid tier, no trial and no feature limits. The code is open source on GitHub. It's a hobby project, so if you like it you can buy me a coffee.
No. Install the app and start typing. There is no email, no password and no sign-in screen.
In a single database file on your own computer, in
%APPDATA%\com.notes.app. Nothing is uploaded anywhere. Each time the app starts it also makes a backup copy of that file next to it.Yes. Right-click a note, or open the menu in the editor, and choose “Copy as Markdown”. You can paste the result into any other editor or save it as a .md file.
The installer isn't code-signed yet. If Edge blocks the download, click ··· in the downloads list, choose Keep, click the arrow next to Delete and choose Keep anyway. When you open the installer, Windows may say it protected your PC: click More info, then Run anyway. You only have to do this once.
When the app starts, it checks GitHub for a newer version. If there is one, you can download and install it from inside the app.
Not at the moment. Fyka Notes is Windows-only for now. If you would like another platform, open an issue so I know there is interest.
